“still clearing out certain aspects of our life. But it’s slow because you know often people say. We have to let go. We have to let go. We have to Let Go. Yeah, but life is not black or white. It’s mixed. So often we can’t just let go because we want to let go, isn’t it? It takes time. You know, things are more complex.”
Pluto and Letting Go and Moving On
Pluto is the soul. Soul’s desires and fate. Pluto sometimes is about letting go, other times it’s about moving deeper into something. Pluto is patient but if we don’t make the change it will bring us to breaking point. Let go now or it’s going to be harder later. Pluto is about transform or die, a treasure, fears and resistance to elimination or transformation because of what we already invested in a situation. Power struggles when we are going through a lesson of humility around power and leadership. In your natal chart, the relationship between the north node and Pluto shows your soul evolution.
With Pluto, whatever it is, there is some taboo about it. With Pluto, there is wealth and power to be found if we are willing to dig deeper, to walk through uncomfortable and burning power; then as if we’ve been purified of what’s false and corrupted, we can emerge, resurrect, transform ourselves into a higher truth about who we authentically are. Pluto is associated with the sign of scorpio, the 8th house, banks, loans, royalties, tips, shared resource, invisible powers and forces, ruthless use of coercion such as when someone has an urge to influence the masses with fanatical propaganda. Power over others, manipulating the hell out of someone, slave workers, debts and trust issues.
Pluto in the 6th house = investigation, research, dedication, intensity, passion. Someone who needs something to get obsessed about. Drawn to a taboo area. To achieve a lot with the simplest means, the desire to collect, an inquisitive mind, pursuit of scientific objectives with fanatical enthusiasm.
A Pluto Transit: is about the right use of Power, such as when the gap between CEOs salary and the workers is getting wider, it’s not an issue of what you do with that wealth and how you take care of the people who are creating that wealth for you, or not. Pluto transit = keep digging, keep soul searching, keep excavating, go deeper; Pluto doesn’t let you off the hook with superficiality or half truth, or denial. You will transform. Primal purging of the ego. To exhaust pieces of your desire, dramatic uprooting of layers of stuff in your life that needs to be removed for your soul’s evolution. A Pluto transit (opposition or square) says: “I’ll give you anything you want if you give me what you think you cannot live without, although it’s already pretty dead and you’ve not used it for a while.”
Pluto retrograde is a good time to be a detective, to look for… to do some research and to make choices. (In the sign of Scorpio and the house where Pluto retrogrades in your natal chart). Dig for the gold in your chart related to the house that Pluto rules then when Pluto shifts from retrograde to direct, the transformation that has been unfolding beneath the surface begins to find its way into the light. For several months, Pluto retrograde brought us face to face with buried fears, old patterns, questions of power and the parts of ourselves we have outgrown. Pluto’s retrograde invited us inward, asking us to look honestly at what we cling to, what controls us and what we are finally ready to release. Then, as Pluto turns direct, we are invited to live the truth of what we have discovered. Pluto reminds us that transformation is not simply about letting go. It is about making space for something more truthful to emerge. The question is no longer just what needs to change, but what we are now ready to do with that knowledge.
When planets go retrograde, it is a good time to sort things out in the house they are in, and the house they rule. Planets retrograde effects are more felt because they are closer to earth. This is what the astrologer Robert Hand in his book Horoscope Symbols says about a planet retrograde, “..I do suspect that retrograde energies are harder to experience as separate from oneself. If they are experienced as separate, they represent issues so close to one’s daily involvements that one is not easily able to stand back and get a clear view of how they operate. By contrast, it is easier both to objectify and to detach oneself from the energies of planets in direct motion, and thereby one is better able to take control of them.”
